Job Overview:

Salt Pines is looking for a dynamic Business Operations Assistant to join our team. This role blends retail sales and management responsibilities with digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media engagement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to the brand’s success both in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Sales & Store Operations:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge to ensure an excellent shopping experience.
  • Assist with day-to-day retail operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and merchandising.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Maintain store appearance and visual merchandising to align with brand standards.

E-Commerce & Digital Merchandising:

  • Manage and update product listings on Shopify, including pricing, descriptions, and images, while adhering to e-commerce best practices.
  • Ensure online store inventory is accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor online orders, returns, and customer inquiries to provide timely support.
  • Utilize SEO strategies and conversion rate optimization techniques to enhance online sales performance.

Marketing & Social Media:

  • Assist in developing and executing email marketing campaigns to engage customers and drive sales.
  • Create and schedule social media content that aligns with the Salt Pines brand and engages the community.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to customer inquiries, and track engagement metrics.
  • Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous retail experience preferred, with a passion for customer service and sales.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), and email marketing tools (Segundo).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
  • Proficiency in content creation, photography, and photo editing using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Experience with graphic design using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Interest in outdoor lifestyles, adventure, and the Salt Pines brand is a plus!
